Memory in silence is his first photography exhibition debuted in Miami (November 2022) after his previous one in Neuchâtel in Switzerland (September 2022).
Esteban was born and lives in Argentina. He received solid education from a public Jesuit school in Cordova and ever since he was a child he has been deeply fascinated by history, literature and philosophy — in particular, art. He studied music at the University and later built his career as a musician which leads him to travel around the world. He discovered his new artistic expression in photography and immersed himself into the nature while he was on his tours. He has explored this artistic language from the sound to silence and its relationship between them. Interwoven his poetic imaginations through the lens of the camera, Esteban is visually evoking the beauty of nature with his singing heart for his voice but in silence.
Each of Esteban's photographs depicts a different kind of human observation in the natural movement, the essence of his work is taking ubiquitous yet frequently disregarded parts of our contemporary landscape and transforming them into something visually uncanny, honest and sophisticated.
The photographs at this exhibition are characterized as an “emotional” landscape photography rooted in his Argentinian psychological sensitivity. He grasps the landscape without structuring and repositioning the scene but blends his own interpretation carried his own beats of musicality. His photos will take our eyes from Antarctica's Icebergs to Switzerland's Alps mountain, Norwegian fjords to Falkland Islands (Islas Malvinas)'s flower field. Those masterful photographs exemplify both the craftsman's will to visual beauty and perfection, and an incisive exploration of philosophical notions of space and time, imagination and reality, science and history.
Drawing on the classical photographic tradition, Esteban creates distilled, meditative images which unite the concrete and abstract, and contain meaningful conceptual underpinnings which seek to materialize the 'invisible realm of the mind' and the unconscious. In his process, he seeks to understand the nature of perception, exploring duration and temporality through photography, and an understanding of how radical shifts through the past illuminate the present…”
